Prove me “wrong” Mr. Chief Justice!

What to say or what to write; another tragedy……another misery…..another pain…..another suffering but all will go in vein.

The cold blooded murder of Shahzeb Khan, a 20 years old Media studies student of Greenwich university Karachi, created an uproar (as the wound is fresh) in the media and social media. Within 24 hours of Shahzeb’s death immense activity was noted on social media. Facebook page “In Memory of Shahzeb Khan “was created and 30,000 people joined it within a day. Similarly “#Justice for Shahzeb khan” was also trending on twitter, blogs, articles, news stories etc. A mass (peaceful) protest is also expected at Karachi Press Club, Defense Housing Authorty and Liberty Roundabout Lahore.
But what do we get from all this? Justice?….Are we sure?
Will we be able to punish the culprits? The known culprits who are at large after the murder.

Almost every day we came across with similar incidents of brutality. Few came to limelight while majority of then go un noticed. At least Shahzeb’s family was fortunate enough that their son’s killing came to public notice. But on the other hand, it’s a bitter reality, like many others this young lad too will not be served with “due” justice.

“Prove me wrong Mr. Chief Justice”……I will be the happiest person on earth Mr. Chief Justice…if you prove me wrong this time”.
Justice is a term still unknown to this part of world. When Bilawal Bhutoo, despite PPP’s government is asking for justice for his mother. What else we could expect.
And like many other incidents, as time passes we all will forget who was Shahzeb, and then this irreparable loss will be limited to the aggrieved family of Shahzeb Khan only. We all will walk away one be one
